Why Rabbits Make Amazing House Pets

Often relegated to outdoor hutches, rabbits actually thrive as indoor house pets. They can be litter-trained, learn their names, and form deep bonds with their owners.

Rabbits naturally choose one spot for their business, making litter training surprisingly easy. Use paper-based litter (never clumping cat litter) and place the box where they prefer to go.

Each rabbit has a unique personality — some are cuddly, others are independent explorers. Spending time on the floor at their level helps build trust.

Unlimited hay should make up 80% of a rabbit's diet, supplemented with fresh leafy greens and a small amount of pellets. Avoid sugary treats and iceberg lettuce.
